Making some new witchy potion additives…

The studio isn’t done, but it’s beginning to be a usable space. I have been slowly moving boxes in and filling shelves, and have three 8′ tables where my work benches will be. Found most my supplies for making jars, and a bunch of matching tiny jars, so I made this set of 12 potion additives. I had almost forgotten how fun it is to make these!

Tiny Bottle

Recently I exchanged some emails with Kate of Whittaker’s Miniatures, who has some really fantastic miniature dollhouses, including a Harry Potter themed house and a haunted house. She has been looking for miniature labels for some 1:12 scale jars. She saw my witch kitchen labels and asked if they could be made super small. I converted 20 of the Thirteen Raven’s potion labels into miniature and sent her some sample labels to see if they will work.

In doing these up, I seem to have caught the miniature bug, and I would love to make up an entire scene for a house… though I have no house to put it in. I took one of the draft print labels similar to what I have sent to Kate in England, and stuck it on a tiny bottle. It measures 32mm high. I’d like to find some bottles that are even smaller.

Skull Beads

I have not been making anything yet this year as all my supplies are temporarily boxed up while my new craft room/studio area is being built.

I recently lucked out and found a bit of fimo clay in the upstairs office. I decided to make some little skull beads with it. (pictured below with a Canadian quarter for size reference) They still need paint… I like how they are all unique.
