Out with the Old….

It’s December 31st! Happy New Year Everyone!!

I have been meaning to get my studio cleaned up and functioning again but things keep coming up to distract me.

The latest: MICE in the storage room!!
… and that would be where I keep most of my paper mache Halloween props.

Needless to say, the mice were having a feast. SO… instead of mucking out the studio, I have been re-organizing and mucking out the neighboring storage room instead.

Today was the trip to the dump day… and with Happy New Year gusto… out with the old props and in with the new… the hag I made a few years ago was very badly eaten, the winged demons I made many years ago, a large spider, and others. The workers at the dump came over to help off load my garbage and posed for pictures with a few things. Not every day someone wants to pose for pictures with your garbage when you go to the dump!

… I think I am going to venture to a different medium and try Paverpol or similar, instead of mache! in case any mice are ever able to find their way back into my basement!

Tonight I went to use my camera and realized I had left my memory card snug in the card reader of my computer. I figured I would use the tiny bit of internal memory the camera is equipped with but found it was already full. Seems the pictures were all prop pictures.

I took very few pictures of this guys being made, but here is one pre-hair picture I found of him in my camera’s internal memory. This is during painting…
