Hag
Aug 12th, 2008 by DeadSpider
Another prop I want to bring with me this weekend so I finished her this afternoon…

I had sculpted her face last year before Halloween, and then she sat in the basement… bald, grumpy, and only half a body… collecting dust for MONTHS. Originally I thought I might make 3 of these hags, and this one was going to be leaning on her broom. Then while camping one of my kids found a nice walking stick and we decided to bring it home for the hag to use.
I didn’t take many picture of her as I made her. Her face was pink because of the mache pulp I was using.

She is beautifully wicked!
Another amazing creation. Wish I was going to frightfest to see it live. Well done.
I never knew that Mr. Dench had a sister. I can most definitely see the family resemblance. Bravo!
Your work is inspiring and shows your amazing talent. I fully expect to hear her voice and see her move.
That is an amazing sculpt from papier mache or any medium. Awesome job.
[...] just saw a post about this amazing sculpt from Aranamuerta. Do be sure to check it out and feel free to be intmidated. I still can’t get over the detail [...]
wow…u do amazing work!
Looks awesome!! Truly inspiring.
DeadSpider, again amazed! When I saw the pink face I thought it actually was pretty scary just that way–almost like her skin was scalded or ripped off. I do see a family resemblance with Mr. Dench now that she’s completed!
Did you make the eyes? The wrinkled skin, facial expression and whispy hair along with the eyes really make her come to life.
Wow! This is absolutely amazing. Did you buy those eyes or make them yourself? And if you made them, could you please put some sort of how-to or guide on how? Good fake eyeballs are so hard to find and can be so hard to make, and I need about a million of them for an upcoming project.
Did you paint the eyes yourself or buy them somewhere? they’re pretty awesome
Stunning! Absolutely amazing!!
Thanks everyone.
Yes, I made the eyes. They are polymer clay. I then printed some iris pictures and glued them on, and added veining with a TINY brush.
